This past weekend we had double events going on,
so it was pretty busy. Lauryn and Emily had a swim meet
in Vicksburg for Saturday and Sunday, but Sarah also had
a ceremony to go to on Saturday at USM. Luckily, my good
and wonderful friend Beverley (hence her nickname "Wonda Bev")
took Lauryn and Emily to the meet to swim on Saturday then I
left directly from Hattiesburg and drove to Vicksburg for
Sunday's events. Phew!
Sarah was invited to the State Recognition Ceremony
by Duke University. She has been a participant in
Duke's TIP Program since she was first chosen in the 5th
grade. As a participant, she was able to take the ACT as
a 7th grader, and did so this past December. Based on the
criteria set by Duke, her scores on the ACT got her the
invitation to the Recognition Ceremony. It was really nice and
USM and Duke did a great job in making it a special occasion for all
the kids involved. We are so very proud of her accomplishments.

It was on to the swim meet. Vicksburg was very nice. It
was the first time we were able to make this meet, The River Classic.
It usually falls on the same weekend as our dance recital.
It was an outdoor pool, so it was very hot.
